In life I believe you are suppose to constantly progress. There should never be a point in your life where you are just in limbo. My junior year I knew I should have been looking for universities and exploring different majors but I was focused on my extra-curricular activity and my friends. The end of my junior year there were flyers up around campus about ECP( Early Childhood Program) volunteering with children in elementary schools. In reality I wanted to just have off campus lunch not thinking how much this class would impact my life. Throughout my senior year I completely fell in love with the program and joined an organization called TAFE ( Texas Association of Future Educators). Now I am currently at Prairie View A&M University studying Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Early Childhood - 6th grade. Within the next five years I plan on attending graduate school at the University of Houston and getting my masters in Speech Pathology and Counseling. While attending U of H I plan on teaching first or second grade in HoustnISD or PearlandISD. One of my main goals is to own my own children's recreation center called Purple Hearts where students of all ages can come and get after school help as well set up a mentoring program within Purple Hearts where the older students who have been in the program the longest mentor the younger kids while still giving the children the options of being mentored by the facilitators of Purple Hearts and college prep. I want all children to be successful in life no matter what walk of life they have come from
